Parks, Reserves and Playgrounds

Crozier Avenue Reserve PlaygroundOpen space areas play an important role in the lifestyle of our families as well as the positive impact they have on the amenity of the City. Council remains committed to maintaining these beautiful parks and recreational facilities for everyone to enjoy.

There are beautiful reserve areas including natural bushland reserves, developed parks, reserves and playgrounds, and lineal reserves along natural creek lines; all suitable for relaxing with the family, kicking a ball, having a BBQ or bushwalking. There are also dedicated dog parks where you can exercise your dog off the leash in a safe environment under effective control.

Families can spend the day at one of the playgrounds with many featuring picnic tables and benches as well as push-button electric barbecues which are available for use free of charge.

Parks, reserves and playgrounds are wonderful areas for children to play outdoors, using their imagination in a natural setting. Click here to find information on Nature Play, a concept to encourage children to play outdoors inspiring open-ended possibilities for self-designed play, creativity, learning and socializing.
